“Hey guys, Karen here! A little about myself is that I was born and raised in San Jose, CA and just like anybody else living in the Silicon Valley, I started my career path in the tech direction majoring in Computer Science during college. One random evening, I saw a video about some guy that reached 7 figures in just a couple of years and coming from a girl that was raised in a foster home, then raised by a single immigrant father in a small low income family in one of the most expensive cities in the country, I was easily convinced. Essentially, I fell down a rabbit hole of Youtube videos for months after that pertaining to this idea of financial freedom utilizing many sources of passive income streams to attain what it means to be financially free. What really stuck in my head was a quote from a book that stated, “you’re not successful unless you’re making money in your sleep.” This was all I needed to hear to completely ditch those tech industry salaries.
