Biography

I was born in Jalisco, Mexico and moved to the US at the age of five with my Father, Mother, and Siblings. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and attended all my school years in the valley. I graduated from San Fernando High School and California State University, Northridge with a Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. Currently I am residing in Redondo Beach with my husband, two beautiful daughters, our dog Fiji and our two cockatiel birds.

Hobbies:

I am outgoing and I enjoy meeting people and trying out new things in life. I am proud of my Mexican Heritage and enjoy engaging with other cultures and learning about their traditions and food. Cooking on a daily basis fascinates me. Spicy food and spices are intriguing to me and I feel fascinated to explore them when I cook a variety of recipes. Chile Rellenos and Tacos Dorados are a few of my favorite foods. Besides cooking, I am fascinated with exploring nature. I grew up with four brothers and went on long hikes almost every weekend. Hiking with my brothers brought closure and great conversations. Until this day, hiking is my passion. I hike with an amazing group of friends early on some Saturdays. We meet early in Palos Verdes to see the sunrise and enjoy the view of the ocean and all the variety of shrubs. Besides hiking I enjoy going to the gym to lift weights, take Zumba, Spin class, or boxing. Working out, eating healthy, getting good sleep, and hanging out with positive people are important to me. Taking my dog Fiji on walks is another passion of mine. I very much enjoy taking care of my dog and making sure she eats healthy and is given much love and attention. My birds are another addition to my family and they chirp and add joy to my life with their chirping sounds that sound like music. I am very handy when it comes to home projects. I have painted my home walls, installed tile, changed door knobs, installed crown molding, and changed sink faucets etc. I am not intimidated by using tools or a hammer. If anything, I get excited when I start a project and the end result is my reward. I am definitely into Sports and the LA Dodgers are my team. These hobbies are a few things that add to my life to keep me motivated and it excites me! Volunteering at my daughters dance studio and helping to set up the props at the theater before a performance is a way to give back to the community. I care very much for our environment and I collect and recycle water bottles and cans.

My Experience:

I have over 13 years of experience in working with students and worked for LAUSD. As an educator in the past I learned that it is important to serve people and be a great listener to understand people’s needs. Age is not a factor when it comes to delivering my knowledge to people. For me it’s been rewarding to help a struggling student with either Math or English assignments. I can relate to it because English is my second language and I understand that every student I taught had a different level of comprehension. Being patient and doing something I enjoy is the key to success in my opinion. Being around people energizes me and gives me great satisfaction to help and to be a leader at the same time.

Real Estate Experience:

In 1998 my husband and I purchased our first investment home. We bought a lot with 3 homes in it. We rented 2 of the homes and lived in the rear unit. This was my very first home and Landlord experience. I learned to run ads in the newspaper and advertise it over the internet. I run credit reports on potential renters, purchased liability renters insurance, collect rents, learned about evictions, zoning laws, city permits, collected first month rent, security deposits and getting a home ready to rent and interviewing interested renters. Being a landlord I enjoy managing my own properties and meeting new people. Over the years I have gained more knowledge on city regulations and zoning laws. In 2003 our first daughter was born and my husband and I made a decision to rent the third house and we purchased a home in the South Bay and moved to Redondo Beach. Another Real Estate opportunity was on December 14, 2022. We purchased another investment property in Liverpool, New York. I hired a property manager to help manage this investment property and this is all knowledge that I can use in my Real Estate Career now.

Goals:

I met several brokers that were very knowledgeable and promised great coaching to brand new agents. During an expo over zoom was the day I saw Rudy Kusuma for the first time in my life. His energy and great stories and shares about YHSGR stood out to me the most. I emailed Rudy and he forwarded me an invitation to join a zoom link on Tuesday and Wednesday to learn more about YHSGR and to meet some of the agents and hear about their success stories. I was sold by this company and I knew which company to join when I passed my State Exam and got my Real Estate license. I feel very proud to be part of this company that has high standards and truly believes in the power of teamwork. My mission is to sell homes and be that confident agent that a prospective buyer or seller seeks to in the future and provides me with referrals and high reviews. I want to be that agent that builds trust in clients, and delivers the best service and value to my clients. I attend training every day and the agents in this company are very positive and I feel very motivated by seeing and hearing about their success stories. Mentally I got myself ready and I did this by setting up my office at home to be better organized and to work on my transactions from home. This permits me to have more balance in my life to spend more time with my family and to set my business hours.

I know I am in the right career because I wake up excited and feel fully energized. Like I shared in the beginning of my biography, I am a social and outgoing person that likes to explore and try different things. I am committed one hundred percent to help people in finding their perfect home and delivering the best value to them. Being honest to myself and loyal to the public is delivering commitment. I am a believer that education is important and knowledge can open doors to opportunities. YHSGR provides daily training that helps me with learning new daily skills.
