Biography
You are average of 5 people you hang out with, so choose wisely and be great, because whatever you do in your life, any job you have, small or big, it can be watering the garden, it can be cooking, accounting or being an engineer, it doesn’t matter what that is just ALWAYS put your 110% into it and be GREAT at it.
Zdenek, pronounced /Zaneck/was born and raised in Prague, in Czechoslovakia, today’s Czech Republic. In his early age, he became obsessed with sport and played football (called soccer in US) and plays a league till this day. He has always been interested in sports. He knows how to play ice hockey, rock climbing, basketball, skiing, loves hiking and of course football. He is coaching little soccer players at AYSO.
Some 16 years ago he just finished his sophomore year at University of Economics in Prague and was excited to start his junior year in September when he came to US for summer visit. That innocent summer would later become learning and living American dream.

This country is full of opportunities and you can become whatever you want to be. You just need to be a leaser focused, have a determination, believe and you will succeed. “
He knew since his teenage years that real estate is one of the best ways to invest money as his father inherited land and was renting the land out to other people and creating that way passive income for the family. He never sold it. And Zdenek saw the effect of appreciation in real estate. Zdenek was saving all his money to able to buy his first piece of real estate just when he turned 24, he wasn’t spending anything he made on nice cars, clothes, watches and all the shiny things young kids want to buy to impress others. He had a bigger goal. Real Estate.

Zdenek have spent all 16 years in Orange County, where he also met his wife. He used to live in northern parts of OC like Tustin, Costa Mesa and then southern parts of OC in Mission Viejo and Laguna Hills. He studied Finances and Real Estate at Saddleback College that prepare him very well for real estate career. For every home Zdenek sells, he donates a portion of his income to Children Hospital of Los Angeles.

I had been on the hunt for a property for the last 5-6 months. The last 3 months I was looking at house after house for weeks. I had placed numerous offers and counter offers with no success. I was getting really discouraged and almost gave up. I had a plenty of funds. A 800 credit score. I placed bids way over asking. I was so confused. I decided to do a Google search trying to find off market homes, hoping to increase my chances. In desperation, I entered my info to site saying they could connect me with off market properties. I’m thinking to myself “here comes to spam and marketing calls”.
About a week goes by and Zdenek calls me. He asked me a few questions about my current buying situation. I currently had a bid on home at the time. I was waiting to hear back the next day. He politely asked if he could contact me the next week or so to see how things were going. I said sure. What do I have to lose at this point? I hear back the next day to hear I lost another bid. I immediately call Zdenek and setup a meeting.
Now before we met, Zdenek sent me a few listings to brief and some info on himself. In my head I’m thinking, “I hope this guy isn’t a scammer.” Of course I do my research on everything Google would allow me to find on Zdenek. Everything “seemed” legit. (obviously it was)
We finally meet. We talk over my current situation. Just over the first 5 minutes, I felt that this was going to be a completely different experience. He wanted to learn more about me and why I was buying. He educated me on the offer process and how important is to represented properly. On all the offers I had made prior, I had no clue how I the offer was being presented to the seller. Zdenek made a point that these offers should represent you and who you are. Making a personal connection to seller can be more powerful that the highest bid.
Within the next 3 days we were looking a unit together that was on the market. The next day we placed an offer. Everything was looking great till the seller pulled a fast one on us. As much as I was disappointed it seemed like Zdenek was even more so. This put me at ease a bit. I knew he was going to fight for me and get me in a home. Two days later he sets up a meeting with the owner of an off-market property in the same community. We meet the next day and by the end the week the offer was signed and completed by both parties.
I hope that everyone would have the same experience as I did. I have simple tastes and am very handy. I know how to and like to fix a lot of stuff. Just as long as I was in a certain area I can make most anything work. If you are looking for an agent to represent you, make sure you interview a couple. I honestly went with a friend suggestion with the my first agent. I really learned that they were not the right fit. They were focused a lot on flipping homes and making the quick turn over. Zdenek made this a personal painless experience. I can’t thank him enough. This is great a honor to my mother who I lost last year. She always dreamed of me owning a home one day. Zdenek made that happen.
